What do you do when your whole life, no matter what direction you turn, you receive the message who you are isn’t good enough, from the people in your life that are supposed to love you the most?
Stop believing that message.
How?
Stop hearing it. If you’re told that being happy and feeling content within is some sort of mistake or unkindness to others, you must understand that is a lie. Don’t listen to lies. You know who you are as a precious child of God.
That’s the thing…when people tell me I am not doing what God would want me to be doing, they throw that in there and it makes my whole body recoil.
Breathe. Disregard it. You take your orders straight from the Source.
I like to believe that I do. How is neglecting oneself for the sake of others actually helpful to anyone?
You can’t light yourself on fire to keep others warm.
Right, so am I destined to be alone.
You’re never alone. Steady on. What is meant for you is yours.
I am grateful. Why can’t others see it?
Because you bow down to God and God alone. You place no other gods before Him.
I say thank you all the time, to everyone. I am polite. If anyone asks for something, I am willing to give it. It’s when someone comes and tells me I am not giving something that I wasn’t aware I was supposed to be giving. But then that something is still not defined in a way that I know how to deliver.
Because that something needs to be coming from God. He is the only one that can deliver what is being asked of you.
God, through me?
No, directly from the Source to the one who is asking. God delivers in His own way. They are placing expectations on how prayers are to be answered. Here lies the ingratitude. Keep holding the mirror.
I am Love. I am.
